I am an academic/practitioner, specialising in social entrepreneurship and impact investment. I have lived in Barcelona for nearly ten years now. I have worked closely with ESADE University, both for their Institute for Social Innovation and Institute for Entrepreneurship, and I also advise social impact investment fund and accelerator Ship2B. Previously I was Executive Director of The
 Venture Partnership Foundation based 
in London, and was a consultant for the Skoll World Forum, London Business School, European Venture Philanthropy Association, and Giving Evidence. I started my career as a strategy consultant at Monitor Company before obtaining a Masters in international economics
 at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore (U.S.A) and a PhD in European history at the University of Oxford (U.K.). My big interests are my children; yoga and meditation; culture and specifically literature (past and present).
