The Portuguese League Against Cancer is a private Cultural and Social Service Association, declared of Public Utility, which promotes primary and secondary cancer prevention, social support and the humanization of assistance to cancer patients and training and research in oncology . | The Portuguese Cancer League (Portuguese League Against Cancer – LPCC) is a private non-profit non-governmental organization, declared by law of public utility (relevant social aim), founded in April 1941. The League activities are developed by 5 branches with head offices in Angra do Heroísmo (Azores island branch), Coimbra (central branch), Funchal (Madeira island branch), Lisbon (south branch), Oporto (north branch). The Branches are responsible for the development of the League activities in their regions.
