Stone Soup Consulting is recruiting a committed and autonomous Communications officer to lead its corporate communications. The selected person will define and implement communications strategy and plan to strengthen Stone Soup’s notoriety and support its mission towards increasing positive social impact.
We are looking for a professional:
- with at least 7 years of experience in communications strategy
- with an interest (and experience if possible) in managing communications for social change
- with proficient reading and writing skills in English (critical) as well as Portuguese, Spanish, or French (a second language will be a plus)
- who has a sound working knowledge of internet-based platforms and communication tools (Teams preferably), Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), graphic design (Canva, Photoshop, etc.), email marketing (Mailchimp), web management (WordPress)
- who has experience managing social media platforms and creating engaging content for different audiences
- who is able to work home-based and develop tasks in an autonomous way
- who shares Stone Soup principles and values
For this role, we expect a part-time dedication (20h/ per week) and remote work.
Starting in mid-March 2025
Monthly gross salary: 1214€ (paid on 14 months), according to Portugal’s labour law if based in Portugal, or equivalent benefits if based else were.
Reporting to: Managing Partner
Stone Soup offers the possibility of the 4 day-week, which means that the person can choose to work only 4 days, with the same workload and same pay.
Tasks will include (indicative, non-exhaustive):
- Design and implement internal and external communications strategy
- Supervise the application of corporate identity
- Define and update communication KPIs
- Shape the company’s tone and narrative for social change
- Develop content production plan and engage community members in the process
- Coordinate and create regular newsletters and lead magnets
- Support Honesty Report dissemination campaign
- Manage social media platforms, monitor brand visibility, and analyse performance data to optimize engagement and outreach
- Manage website content and coordinate updates with IT contractor
- Produce the internal biweekly newsletter
- Support the dissemination of Stone Soup Academy
